Our Story

A Legacy of Tradition and Quality

Since 1887, the Oranges family has been writing a history of tradition in the beef market, offering high-quality products to national and international customers under the brands Oranges Alimentos and Barra Mansa Alimentos. 1887
Foundation

1887 Foundation Italian immigrant Affonso Oranges founds the Oranges slaughterhouse.

1925

Francisco Oranges and his brother Vicente Oranges continue the family business with the butcher shop built in the Municipal Market of Ribeirão Preto/SP

1942

Due to the fire that occurred in the Municipal Market of Ribeirão Preto, the Irmãos Oranges butcher shop was moved to Rua São Sebastião. It became a landmark in the city's history and a reference point for purchasing meat and sausages for customers from all over the region.

1963

The company grew and became a pig slaughterhouse, with a small lard and sausage factory, and a rendering plant where it bought meat trimmings from other butchers in the region and processed them.

1973

On November 24 of that year, the company made the reservation with federal agencies under SIF number 941.

1998

On February 20, 1998, the company was included in the general list of exporters validated by the federation and began its presence in the countries: Peru, Hong Kong, Egypt and Saudi Arabia with the validation of the Federal Inspection Service n°941

Start of exports to Russia

Qualification for Europe

In 2019, the company enabled its plant to export food to China, strengthening its global presence and conquering a new and relevant market.

The company is considered one of the 10 largest beef and meat products companies in Brazil and one of the largest exporters, present in the main markets in more than 90 countries

Present in more than 90 countries and qualified for demanding markets such as China, the United States, and the European Union (Hilton Quota), the company has internationally recognized certifications that bring credibility to the products that reach the tables of millions of people around the world.

The company Barra Mansa Alimentos implements the Oranges Alimentos brand in the domestic market.
